Set of 5 Purificators with Marian “M” Monogram and Crown

This set of 5 purificators is used during Mass and other Eucharistic celebrations, including solemnities, feasts, and memorials of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Use in the Liturgy

A purificator is one of the basic elements of the altar linen set. During the liturgy, it is used to clean and dry the chalice, including during its purification after Communion. When Holy Communion is distributed under both kinds, it also serves to wipe the rim of the chalice.

The General Instruction of the Roman Missal also identifies the purificator as one of the items prepared with the chalice and corporal. The set is suitable for celebrations in shrines and parishes dedicated to the Mother of God, as well as for Marian devotions. It is a practical solution for parishes, churches, chapels, religious orders, and sacristies, providing an appropriate supply of purificators for successive celebrations.

Marian Symbolism and Embroidery

For solemnities, feasts, and memorials of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the crowned Marian monogram “M” refers symbolically to the Blessed Virgin Mary and her royal dignity. The Marian motif also suits celebrations and devotions dedicated to the Mother of God.

The white fabric combined with embroidery in shades of blue, gold, and red gives the set an elegant, solemn appearance suitable for Eucharistic celebrations. Made entirely from 100% cotton, each piece has a classic rectangular cut. The edge is finished with subtle, scalloped embroidery that emphasizes the elegant appearance of the product.
