Gold-Plated Brass Monstrance with Cross and Rays, 23 in (59 cm)

This monstrance is used for exposition of the Blessed Sacrament during Eucharistic adoration, Eucharistic services, and solemn church celebrations.

Liturgical use of the monstrance

It is also intended for Eucharistic processions, including those held for Corpus Christi. Its harmonious form makes it an elegant and dignified sacred vessel for these occasions. It is a distinguished element of the furnishings of a church, chapel, or sanctuary, while its Eucharistic symbolism helps emphasize the special character of prayer and contemplation during adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Cross, rays, and gold finish

During Eucharistic adoration and processions for Corpus Christi, the cross motif and rays express the piece's traditional Christian symbolism. The rays refer to the light of Christ and His presence in the Blessed Sacrament. The gold-plated finish and smooth, polished surface provide a refined sheen and reflect light effectively, highlighting the finish and the geometric form of the disk.

At the center is a round luna, 3.25 in (8 cm) in diameter, set within a decorative gold-plated ring. It is surrounded by a disk measuring 13.5 in (34 cm) in diameter, whose composition combines the broad arms of a cross with numerous slender rays extending in every direction.

A tall, slender column gives the monstrance harmonious, elegant proportions and emphasizes the central Eucharistic section. The entire piece rests on a stable cast base that widens toward the bottom, providing proper support during exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Its classic design, simple lines, and careful finish allow it to complement both traditional and modern sacred interiors.

At 23 in (59 cm) tall, the monstrance is a distinguished element of altar furnishings, reinforcing the solemn character of adoration and Eucharistic celebrations.
