Christ’s contemplative face, with His gaze directed upward, gives the depiction a profound connection with the Passion. Rendered in shades of gray, the image is surrounded by a decorative frame of silver botanical ornaments that contrast with the banner’s deep black background.

The other side shows a cross with a draped cloth and a crown of thorns, recalling the Passion, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Set against the black background, the silver-toned cross forms a distinct symbolic composition and emphasizes Christian hope for eternal life.
